ON SEPARABILITY FINITENESS CONDITIONS IN SEMIGROUPS

چکیده

Abstract Taking residual finiteness as a starting point, we consider three related properties: weak subsemigroup separability, strong separability and complete separability. We investigate whether each of these properties is inherited by Schützenberger groups. The main result this paper states that for finitely generated commutative semigroup S , conditions coincide are equivalent to every $\mathcal {H}$ -class being finite. also provide examples show in general differ semigroups semigroups. For with many -classes, it has one if only all its groups have the property.

Finiteness Conditions for Strictness Analysis

We give upper bounds on the number of times the fixed point operator needs to be unfolded for strictness analysis of functional languages with lists. This extends previous work both in the syntax-directed nature of the approach and in the ability to deal with Wadler’s method for analysing lists. Limitations of the method are indicated.

Hopf algebras under finiteness conditions

This is a brief survey of some recent developments in the study of infinite dimensional Hopf algebras which are either noetherian or have finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension. A number of open questions are listed.

Correspondence Functors and Finiteness Conditions

We investigate the representation theory of finite sets. The correspondence functors are the functors from the category of finite sets and correspondences to the category of k-modules, where k is a commutative ring. They have various specific properties which do not hold for other types of functors. In particular, if k is a field and if F is a correspondence functor, then F is finitely generate...

Localization in Coalgebras. Applications to Finiteness Conditions

Let k be a field. Given two finite-dimensional right comodules N andM over a k–coalgebra C, the k–vector spaces ExtC(N,M) need not to be finite-dimensional. This is due to the fact that the injective right comodules appearing in the minimal injective resolution of M need not to be of finite dimension or even quasi-finite. The obstruction here is that factor comodules of quasi-finite comodules a...
